In this episode of The Homestretch w/Adrian Durant we have with us Janieve Russell, a talented young track and field athlete. Russell was highly successful as a youth and junior level athlete. She was a nine-time gold medalist at the CARIFTA Games and a double gold medalist at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics, winning the 400 meters hurdles and the 4 × 400 m relay. She also won a relay medal at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics and competed at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. She is having a fantastic athletic career where she competed at various big national and international events like, the Commonwealth Games and The Olympics, and completed in top 3 in many of the events.

In this podcast with Janieve Russell, we will talk about her early days, how she got into Track & Field. At the start of her career, Russell was not only a 400m Relay Sprinter as we know her today, but she was also a World Class Long Jumper and High Jumper. She talks about why she chose 400m Relay over the other events. Janieve discusses her journey so far in becoming a world class athlete. We will also talk about her future plans and her preparations for the coming events.
